Four injured in early morning crash at Spalding Common

Four men were injured, at least one seriously, in a single-vehicle collision at Spalding Common early yesterday morning (Sunday October 15).

The accident happened at the A1175 junction with the B1172 Littleworth Drove at around 2.50am.

Police inspector Gareth Boxall said all four occupants were hurt – some of the injuries were very serious and one of the injuries may be life-changing.

Two occupants of the red Peugeot 106 were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and two to Peterborough City Hospital.

Spalding firefighters provided lighting and assisted paramedics with casualty care.

The road was closed until about 11am and motorists followed local diversions.
