Spalding and Peterborough Transport Forum looking for new members
Spalding and Peterborough Transport Forum is on the lookout for new members to help raise and solve the area’s issues.
At last week’s meeting, chairman George Scott called for more people to come forward and join the group.
He said: “We have got to encourage more people to actually join - it doesn’t cost anything. We keep informed and they can keep us informed, which is important.”
The forum has been running about more than 20 years - and is proud of the improvements it has helped secured for services and facilities at Spalding Railway Station.
Mr Scott now wants to find more projects to get behind.
At last week’s meeting, members highlighted issues around the new Spalding Western Relief Road - which it does not think will stop speeding problems - as well as problems with congestion around level crossings and the rise of freight passing through the town.
