Holbeach Rotary Club's Last Night of the Proms and charity bike ride ten years ago in 2011
More than 120 people waved flags and had a sing-song at Holbeach Rotary Club’s Last Night of the Proms ten years ago.
Swineshead Silver Band performed the concert, with enthusiastic audience members dressed in red, white and blue.
Proceeds from the night were planned to support the Rotary’s projects, which included an all-weather surface for young people using the goal force area at Carter’s Park.
Rotarian Wendy Chew said that “this year was better than ever.”
Spalding tandem bike rider Trudy Thurston raised money for Cancer Research back in 2011.
Trudy and her father cycled 25 miles from Spalding to Crowland and back in memory of her mother Maureen, who passed away in 2009.
She then recovered at a tea party with friends and family.
