Weston Hills children now have play area thanks to Weston Parish Council

Children in Weston Hills now have a new play area thanks to councillors.

Weston Parish Council has invested £14,000 in installing the village’s first play area.

Football goal posts and a basket ball ring have been installed for older children plus there are swings for all ages.

The council has worked to install the equipment since receiving a request from village youngsters six years ago, along with a 200 signature petition.

Coun Janet Bellamy, pictured above, says the equipment has been well used since the opening ceremony.

She said: “It will allow people to come together and have a great facility for the children of Weston Hills.”
