Flood alerts issued in South Lincolnshire
Two flood alerts remain in place for parts of South Lincolnshire this morning (Thursday, December 24).
Alerts are in place for the Lower Glen and Bourne Eau, which takes in Pode Hole, Pinchbeck and Surfleet, along with the minor watercourses of the South Forty Foot Drain.
The alert states: "Lower Glen and Bourne Eau are rising and are expected to remain high for the next few days. We are monitoring the situation and have staff out checking for blockages and clearing weedscreens.
"Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. We will update this message as the situation changes."
