The star attraction during Fleet Wood Lane Primary School’s science week was a visit from a mobile planetarium.
Mick Morton, from Starlincs, turned day into night for all 160 pupils as they were invited inside to see some of the wonders of the universe and familiar features of our night sky.
Children went inside class by class, from reception to year six, and lessons were tailored to their ages and national curriculum studies.
Office administrator Nicola Purton said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed it – they were really buzzing.”
Topics covered by Starlincs presentations to schools include space travel and light and dark, explaining why we have day and night.
