This isn’t Nancy Titman’s first foray into the world of publishing.
Nancy used to belong to a family and local history group in Deeping St James and would write tales about the past for the group’s newsletters, as well as having articles published in the Lincolnshire Poacher and contributing to local history books.
She has been involved in various groups and activities over the years, and still attends Deeping St James Priory Church, where she is a founder member of the ladies’ fellowship group.
As well as teaching at Deeping St Nicholas Primary School for 21 years, Nancy brought up four children with her late husband Bob – Anthea and Robert, who both live in the Deepings, and Marion and Deborah, who live further away – and she now has nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
As testament to Nancy’s popularity, she says they are catering for 100 drop-ins at the book signing on May 31, in addition to 30 relations.
