Firefighters respond to A17 crash and Sutton St Edmund chimney fire




Firefighters from Holbeach responded to reports of a vehicle leaking fuel following an accident on the A17 yesterday (Tuesday) morning.

Crews used zorb to soak up hydraulic steering fluid during the incident, at 8.55am.

Later, at 1.30pm, crews from Holbeach and Long Sutton attended Broadgate Road in Sutton St Edmund, where they used chimney gear and a stirrup pump to extinguish a chimney blaze.
