Donington and Stamford firefighters pump flood water away from Surfleet




Firefighters have been called to flooding at Surfleet.

Donington and Stamford firefighters were in the village with a pump and high volume pump to deal with some flooding.

The Environment Agency issued a flood warning yesterday for the River Glen at Surfleet Reservoir and this remains in place this morning.

Fire officers say they will continue to monitor the flooding and water levels over the course of the day.

However, flood alerts also remain in place for the Lower Welland, which takes in Deeping St James, Spalding and Pinchbeck, along with the Lower Glen and Bourne Eau system and South Forty Foot Drain.
