FIRE and rescue cut the windscreen and roof off a crashed van to free an injured driver when it landed on its side in a two vehicle crash at Moulton on Tuesday morning.

The driver, from Osbournby, near Sleaford, was taken to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital after fire crews helped paramedics place him on a spinal injuries board.

His van, owned by coal distribution company CPL, was in collision with a black Mitsubishi pick-up around 8.45am at the East Cob Gate crossroads with Cob Gate, East Gate and Hog’s Gate.

Police say the second driver, a man from Weston Hills, also went to the Pilgrim.
