It was a splashing effort when Spalding firefighters took part in a charity car wash.

Green Watch was joined by local retained firefighters in the Homebase car park on Saturday to raise funds for The Firefighters Charity.
They took £409.59 during the day and a further £25 donation was made by two members of the public who wanted to help local firefighters.
Spalding Barclays Bank match funded the amount, bringing the total to £844.18.
Spalding’s Papa1 appliance remained fully stowed, so it was available for operational duties without any delay.
Firefighter Bob Machin said: “All cars got the full treatment. We got the children to take the hose and rinse down their own cars which they loved, often trying to get their brothers and sisters wet in the process.
”We are really grateful to Homebase for letting us use the car park and Barclays Bank for the match funding.”
If you missed out don’t worry – the firefighters are planning another event in September.
