For the first time Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue has launched its free ‘fitness taster’ campaign for residents at local retained fire stations.

Members of the public are being challenged to test their fitness against specific tasks: carry a casualty, roll out a hose, find their way wearing breathing apparatus.

The service hopes the sessions will encourage people to find out more about training to become an on-call firefighter.

Crews will be at Crowland (10am to 2pm) and Kirton (9am to noon) on Saturday and Billingborough (10am to 12.30pm) on Sunday. Wear suitable clothing and footwear.
