Fire crews fail to determine what started house fire in Market Deeping

Fire investigators have been unable to determine what started a house fire in Market Deeping.

The fire, which broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning, destroyed the property in Beech Close.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the investigation had concluded the fire started "externally to the properties" but said the cause was "undetermined due to the severity of the fire".

She added: "This incident resulted in severe damage by fire to an entire bungalow and its contents.

"There was also damage by fire to the neighbouring bungalow facia, soffit and gable, five fence panels, two windows and an entire summerhouse."
