West Pinchbeck and Long Sutton school pupils raise funds through festive wear

School pupils in South Holland donned their festive jumpers to raise money for charities while enjoying Christmas-themed fun.

Youngsters at St Bartholomew’s CE Primary School in West Pinchbeck celebrated Christmas Jumper Day, on Friday, December 11, and in doing so raised money for The Children’s Society.

Pupils at University Academy Long Sutton also wore their jumpers on Christmas Jumper Day as part of a week of festive cheer.

Pupils were able to wear a Christmas jumper or decorate a plain jumper for a bit of fun and donate £1, raising a total of £210 for Save the Children.

A school spokesperson said: “It was a fun day and the pupils really enjoyed it with the Christmas feeling with only a few more days before the Christmas break."

The fun ran throughout the week, with different year groups being served their Christmas lunch each day by teachers and staff at the school too.
