Holbeach Music and Beer Festival's £1,000 boost for Spalding St Barnabas
Spalding's St Barnabas Hospice Day Care Centre has been presented with a cheque for £1,000 after a fundraising effort at this year's Holbeach Music and Beer Festival.
More than 10,000 people attended the festival over three days earlier this month and £868 was raised through a ‘£1 in a bucket’ lucky draw on the Saturday and Sunday, with others donating to the total to make £1,000.
Festival organiser Sean Taylor and wife Ann presented the cheque to St Barnabas community fundraiser Paisley Paddison.
Sean thanked volunteers June Taylor, Gill Ward and Molly Booth, who ran the draw. Saturday’s winners were Cameron Sleight £180, Mathew Strange £80 and Jack Samways £40. Sunday’s winners were David Jason-Smith £200, Lee Rudd £100 and David Ward £80.
Sean and Ann thanked everyone who attended this year’s festival, making it the most successful and enjoyable one so far.
