The latest news from Guardian Angel...
Angel’s editor got an unexpected look at the courtyard of the new Palmers Ale House and Kitchen in Long Sutton on Saturday.
While taking his dog to the vet next door the little King Charles Cavalier jumped out of its cage, hurdled a small fence and ran straight into sand that had been levelled carefully ready for building at the back of the pub.
Luckily, the bulder was very magnanimous about the whole thing and the Ed returned sheepishly to the vet.
n One of the highlights of last week for Angel was catching the performance of Spalding Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society’s latest production The Magic of Music.
It really was thoroughly enjoyable and a show for all... just such a pity there were reportedly quite a few empty seats at the performances.
* Guardian photographer Tim Wilson had the tables turned on him at Spalding High School’s prom on Friday when he became the man behind the lense in a “selfie”.
* Another amusing picture on social media was the one of Conservative MP John Hayes and former Green Party parliamentary candidate Ashley Baxter at the Spalding People’s Parade, leading Ashley to tweet: “So embarrassing to turn up in the same colours as the MP.”
