SPALDING’S Physically Handicapped and Able Bodied (PHAB) Club is celebrating a hugely successful year-long partnership with staff at Sainsbury’s Holland Market.
Over the year staff collected a grand total of £2,140.47 for the club with bucket collections at the tills, a book stall, quizzes and a host of other events.
Store trainer Jemma Bradley said there were donations too from other organisations, including the Lions, who held a car boot on the store’s car park.
Members of PHAB visited Sainsbury’s to receive the last bit of the money – almost £600 – and to say thank you to the busy fundraisers.
Jemma said: “They were absolutely as pleased as punch.
“They were going to Cadbury’s World with some of the money.”
Sainsbury’s will now pick a new charity partner following nominations from staff and customers.
