AN IT design and development firm is moving its headquarters to Spalding and immediately creating three new jobs, with more in the pipeline.

The 11-strong team at People Systems & Process (PSP) Ltd will up sticks from its current premises in North Street, Bourne, and move into brand new offices on Spalding Office Park at the beginning of September.

A new sales and marketing manager has already been appointed to boost the team and the larger premises mean more expansion is planned, with two more vacancies already waiting to be filled.

Director Joe Verde said: “We had outgrown our offices in Bourne but we were determined to stay in the local area rather than move to a city.

“Unfortunately we could not find anything suitable in Bourne, so we looked at Spalding and the business park was perfect because of the size of the offices, which are about two and a half times the size of where we are now and will allow us to expand, and because it is brand new and modern.

“Times are tough at the moment but there will almost certainly be more development there in the future and it seemed to be a good place to be.

“It will mean that we can continue to grow and hope to take the team to 22 within the next 18 months.”

PSP’s move signals the sale of the last whole unit on Spalding Office Park, which has been marketed by the commercial team at Longstaff Spalding.

Until recently, two whole units were available for sale or to let, but the second has now been let to an existing occupier.

It means the only vacancies now available on the development, located with easy access to the A16 Spalding bypass, are the first floor of one unit and an office within the first floor of another unit, both available to let. There is also an option to buy the first of those units as an investment, subject to tenancy of the ground floor tenant.

Chris Longstaff said: “Spalding Office Park has been a new innovation in Spalding and although it has taken a little time to become occupied, the current occupiers are now enjoying state-of-the-art accommodation on offer.

“I think in these difficult times we can definitely say it has been a success story.”
