One of the most exciting rock and blues musicians in the UK is coming to Donington in November.
Guitarist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year Chantel McGregor – also voted Female Vocalist of the Year in 2012 – is performing at The Royal British Legion Club on Thursday, November 21 (doors open 7pm).
Chantel is a versatile artist, as demonstrated by her winning titles in the British Blues Awards in three different categories.
In an industry where male guitarists have been dominant and received most of the limelight on and off stage, fans find it a refreshing change and a justifiable first in the history of the British Blues Awards that a female artist was voted Guitarist of the Year.
Jamming on stage with Joe Bonamassa on two of his tours so far, Chantel showed audiences she is a formidable guitar player, a very talented singer-songwriter and that her live performances are truly captivating.
Landlord at The Black Bull in Donington Malcolm Mills, who was instrumental in bringing Chantel to Donington, said: “We are not aiming to make a profit on the event, just really doing it to bring some quality live music to the area.”
Advance tickets are £12 (£14 on the door) from 01775 822228 or go online at www.solidentertainments.com/presents.htm#CHANTEL-MCGREGOR-TOUR
