FORMER BBC foreign correspondent and Government press secretary Martin Sixsmith will be visiting Spalding next week.
Mr Sixsmith will be at Bookmark, in the Crescent, to talk about his new book ‘Russia – A 1,000 year chronicle of the Wild East’ from 7.15pm.
He was a well known figure as foreign correspondent on the BBC and reported in Russia as the Cold War came to a close in the 1980s.
He then went on to work as a director of communications for the Labour Government from 1997 – working with Harriet Harman, Alistair Darling and Stephen Byers.
After leaving Government he wrote two novels and three non-fiction books.
This latest book accompanies a BBC Radio 4 series.
Tickets for the night cost £3.50 and include a glass of wine or juice.
