CRAIG Jackson – who committed kidnap while an aide to South Holland and the Deepings Conservative MP John Hayes – has been released from HMP Lincoln Prison.
Mr Jackson (40) has been let out on licence after serving almost a year while on remand and since being sentenced last August.
He will remain electronically tagged until June and is on licence for the remainder of his sentence of two years and eight months.
He was jailed last August for plotting with two friends to kidnap his brother-in-law and dump him 100 miles from home.
Victim Lawrence Marshall was left in such a state of terror that he jumped out of a moving car.
Mr Jackson, of Wharf Street, Sutton Bridge, resigned as Mr Hayes’ aide last July. He had been suspended when the matter first came to light in February last year.
