Jeweller Ernest Jones is the latest big name store on its way to Spalding’s Springfields Outlet Shopping Centre.
Earlier in the month it was announced that fashion retailer Fat Face was opening in Springields, and Ernest Jones will take the unit next door, formerly occupied by Farrar.
Both shops should be open by mid-September.
The famous UK high street brand will trade as ‘Ernest Jones The Outlet Collection’ and has secured a 1,500 sq ft unit in the East Avenue mall, also sitting alongside Marks and Spencer Outlet, Skechers and Craghopper.
The new letting adds to an impressive list of brands already at Springfields including Next and Gap Outlets, TM Lewin and The Body Shop. Significant investment has also been made recently with a major refurbishment of the Home and Garden Centre with its sumptuous restaurant The Noshery.
Ernest Jones ‘The Outlet Collection’ priomises to offer a vast range of jewellery, from diamond engagement rings, to prestige watch brands and gifts for every occasion – all at least 30 per cent off high street prices.
Head of Springfields Ian Sanderson said: “We are delighted that we have attracted yet another significant brand to the South Holland region in time for Christmas trading.
“We continue our strategy of repositioning Springfields, taking the scheme more upmarket to fulfil the needs of the comparatively affluent consumer within our extensive catchment.”
From modest beginnings in 1949, Ernest Jones has grown from a single store in London’s Oxford Street to a highly reputable national chain of over 180 jewellery stores.
Ernest Jones describes itself as the UK’s diamonds and watch specialist and stocks some of the world’s most prestigious watch brands, including TAG Heuer, Gucci, Emporio Armani, Rado, Omega, Dreyfuss & Co and Longines.
