THE parent company of Farmers’ Guardian has acquired the Lamma Show, the UK’s annual elite farm machinery and equipment show.

Cliff Preston, who has been key to the growth of the Lamma Show over the years since its inception in 1981, will continue to work on the event as part of the new team, Briefing Media.

Helen Bell, associate solicitor at Langleys LLP, led the deal on behalf of Lamma. She said: “It’s been an interesting transaction to work on as throughout negotiations the existing directors of Lamma were consistently keen to ensure that the ethos of the show was preserved going forward.

“It’s clear that the continued success of the show has been due to the hard work of a dedicated team of people who have worked tirelessly to build it into what it is today. Lamma is one of the most successful events in the agricultural diary and as such I was delighted that Langleys had been instructed to help this transition.”
