The peat-free compost produced by Bettaland Products at Crowland has been given the thumbs up by an academic at University of Lincoln.

Principal lecturer David Stainton has been testing the products as part of research into peat alternatives. He says the results on the organic material are “encouraging” and added: “High quality management is the key to supplying a stable product for the end user.”
