A GROUP that vows to help people make the most of their retirement is on the lookout for new members.
Spalding and District U3Ameets on the first Thursday of every month at Pinchbeck Village Hall - with a programme of music, arts, gardening, history, bridge walking and crafts to cater for its 20-strong membership.
Chairman Peter Chapman says the club opened up a whole new social life to him when he joined - and said he was fascinated to learn things about the area’s history.
He said: “When I moved to Spalding, I found it very difficult to meet new people and create a new social life. The U3A has done all this for me as it combines the sociability of a monthly meeting with a variety of talks throughout the year. Individual interests are catered for in smaller independent groups which meet in halls and often at members’ homes.”
Meetings start at 2pm and for more information call Peter on 01775 760604.
