A VILLAGE primary school enjoyed the perfect end to the academic year by announcing improved SATs results.
Quadring Cowley and Brown School headteacher Nicki Wilkinson has hailed the winning mentality of her pupils as the reason behind a spike in the school’s performance.
The year six test results are the best at the school for three years, with all pupils getting at least level four (the expected level) in English and half getting a level five, up from 38 per cent.
In science, all pupils got a level four and 75 per cent achieved a level five – up from 44 per cent last year.
Mrs Wilkinson said: “We believe that our children do well academically because of the ethos that we create here at Quadring School.
“We consistently promote a ‘Can Do’ attitude and put enjoyment of learning at the very heart of everything we do.”
