TRAVEL girls have just the ticket for an ‘eggs-tra’ special Easter for families in the Spalding area.
The team at the Anglia Co-operative travel branch in the town’s Beales department store have launched an Easter eggs appeal for young families supported by Home-Start South Holland.
Travel consultant Carol Price said: “Local people have responded so generously to our Christmas and Easter appeals in the past and this year, with their support, we want to provide some chocolate eggs to give a treat to youngsters around the area.”
Home-Start South Holland provides support to between 60 and 70 families in the Spalding area each year who are struggling to cope.
Senior co-ordinator Mary Hutson said: “This appeal is a wonderful example of the community helping other people in the community and we’re very grateful to Carol and her colleagues.
“The eggs will go to the families we support as a treat at a time when things are difficult for them.”
nIf you would like to make a chocolate egg donation to the Anglia Co-operative travel team in the Beales department store at 5 Market Place, Spalding, please take it to them before 5pm on Monday, March 25.
