Sutton St James pupils have learned dance routines from around the world.

During dance workshops led by West End in Schools all the children took part in the hakka from New Zealand, the can-can from France, Scottish dancing, the salsa from Brazil, Bollywood from India... and many more.

A school spokesperson said: “The children all took part in a workshop and even the pre-school came across to learn how to tell a story through dance, performing Where the Wild Things Are. The tutor was excellent and inspired the children, encouraging them to express themselves.”

The workshops were funded by the school as a new opportunity to experience a sport they may never have tried before.
