Spalding High School Year 9 pupils enjoyed the annual Languages Day, oraganised to show them how speaking another 
language and understanding a culture can be an asset for life.

Communication skills and careers education were also incorporated into the day through various activities.

Former student Hannah West gave an aspirational presentation about her language learning journey and how this has impacted on her current job at Dynamic Cassette International (DCI).

Pupils enjoyed taster sessions in Spanish, Russian and Greek and learned about our French and German assistants’ home areas. The day finished with all pupils coming together for a prizegiving.

Leanguage teacher Mrs Bushell said: “The day was extre-mely enjoyable and all students fully embraced opportunities to develop their language skills and cultural awareness.  All staff involved were delighted with the students’ participation and enthusiasm.”
