Students at Spalding Grammar School have been putting together their own language albums as part of an inter-cultural project.
For five weeks, language pupils in Years 7 and 8 researched a country whose language they were learning.
With French, German and Spanish on offer, the choice was huge and the results very impressive.
The attention to detail was excellent and each class, each language and each year group saw a winner crowned and presented with a GCSE bilingual dictionary. Second and third prizes were given out, too.
Project co-ordinator Constanze Wagner-Lees, who has ran this project for the second year, was equally complimentary about the high standard of work.
She said: “Having completed such a demanding independent research project within the timeframe given and including so many different interesting resources, the boys can rightly be very proud of their achievements.
“We certainly are very proud of them.”
The overall winner of the Headteacher’s Award for Academic Excellence was Henry Wright, who not only produced a stunning album but made his own short film to accompany his written efforts.
