Ship ahoy! Young pirates get on board

Have your say

LONG Sutton County Primary School Nursery are enjoying a new pirate ship climbing frame thanks to the fantastic support of the parents and friends of the school.

Raising in excess of £500, the fundraising events included a cake sale, bring and buy stall and the sale of home-made mincemeat at the school’s Christmas market.

School Business Manager Mark Lunn commented: “The pirate ship climbing frame is a brilliant outside asset and is a huge enhancement to our thriving Nursery setting. The children are really enjoying the pirate ship and benefiting through all six aspects of the Early Years curriculum enabling them to engage with their imagination, build on their story telling skills and also develop their ability to work with other children.” There are still a few places left at the nursery for the September intake.
