An entire school enjoyed a day of sports on a rare sunny day among June’s rain.
All years at Holbeach Primary School took part in the inaugural games day which was supported by Agilitas Sports.
The athletes split into their houses to compete against each other. Key Stage 1 was involved in multi-skills events which were throwing, jumping and movement. Lower Key Stage 2 took part in hockey, netball and new age curling and Upper Key Stage 2 also played curling, alongside rounders and cricket.
The pupils scored points over the day in the various sports and at the end of the day, the red house were triumphant.
Agilitas Sports’ Rupert Gibson said: “The idea of the schools games days are to have as many children in competition as possible as part of the London 2012 legacy. Every child got a sticker for their efforts.”
