IMPROVING GCSE results have earned a Long Sutton school praise from the country’s schools minister.
Nick Gibb has written to The Peele Community College headteacher Ian Charles to offer his congratulations following the news the school is one of England’s most improved.
The percentage of pupils achieving five A*-C GCSEs soared from 27 to 58 per cent between 2007 and 2010.
Mr Gibb said: “Your results show that you are amongst the 100 top performing schools based on sustained improvement in each year from 2007 to 2010.
“I would like to congratulate your staff, governors and pupils for their hard work and success and to thank you for your leadership in continuing the drive towards the highest standards of educational achievement.”
