There may be some budding scientists at Thomas Middlecott Academy in Kirton following a recent visit to the school.
BAE Systems went to the academy for a range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workshops.
Focusing on the Physics of Waves, students from Years 7 and 8 learned all about sound vibrations and the movement of light when projected on to different surfaces.
The students also heard about careers in science for men and women, as well as further education opportunities.
STEM coordinator Kat Nelson said: “The students thoroughly enjoyed taking part in these workshops. The opportunities really allow students to open their minds and look at key subjects in a different light. We may have some budding scientists on our hands after this visit.”
