Heads vote for action

PARENTS will now have to wait and see if their child’s school will be forced to close on November 30 after a headteacher’s union voted in favour of industrial action.

The National Association of Head Teachers could now join thousands of other public sector workers, including Unison members at South Holland District Council.

NAHT members voted for action for the first time in its 114-year history over Government plans to change teachers’ pension scheme, meaning they would have to work longer, pay more and get less.
