Students from the Sir John Gleed School in Spalding took part in several assemblies to remember the academic year gone by.

Students from Year 9 at the school used their assembly to showcase their talents and look back on what they have achieved this year.

There were performances from singers, a flute player and there was also a performance of some of the songs from Hairspray – the musical recently performed by students at the school to huge audiences and great applause – as many of those who took part in the show were in Year 9.

Ian Billinghurst, head of Year 9, said: “Every year group at the school had an assembly in which they celebrated the successes of the year.

“At ours, we finished with a video compilation of photos from the year, along with music, as a ‘year in pictures’ video for everyone to enjoy.

“The assembly went really well and was a lot of fun.”
