Ten teams from eight schools took part in the Lincolnshire South East Girls football tournament on Tuesday.
The event was hosted by Spalding Academy and run by School Games organiser Rupert Gibson, who said: “It was fantastic to see so many girls enjoying football and showing great enthusiasm, teamwork and determination.
Winners were Baston, with Bourne Abbey second, Spalding St John’s School third, Deeping St James Linchfield A fourth, Long Sutton fifth, Tydd St Mary sixth, Bourne Westfield seventh, Pinchbeck East eighth, Bourne Abbey B ninth and Linchfield B tenth.
Baston will now go on to represent our region against the other School Games winners from across Lincolnshire.
Rupert thanked the sports laders from Spalding Academy who helped all day and refereed all the games.
