Two friends at Spalding Grammar School organised a fashion show to help fund their drama group’s visit to a Shakespeare festival where they will perform Henry V.
Year 11 students Jordan Walsingham and Connor Cutts, both aged 15, enlisted the help of Fancy Frox and a string of models for the big event, which has raised around £400.
The boys invited girls from local schools to take part.
Connor said: “A lot of them were our friends and they got their friends involved.”
The boys volunteered to do the show – a first for them both – when an English teacher said more money was needed for the drama group to go to the festival, which takes place tomorrow.
Connor said: “It was a lot of work, but it was good fun and it was nice to see it all happen.”
He and Jordan have a big interest in design and helped organise the period costumes that students will wear for the school production, but they haven’t yet seen the play themselves.
Connor said: “They were loaned to us by a Shakespeare committee because one of our teachers is on that committee.”
