A record 28 teams from 21 schools took part in the Lincolnshire South East School Games football tournament at Spalding Academy.
Organiser Rupert Gibson said it was fantastic to see so many children enjoying their football and showing great skill.
In the morning schools were grouped into pools and their places in these pools determined how they progressed into the afternoon.
Many of the results were very close with a number of games having to be decided by sudden death or penalty shoot outs.
Large school winners were Linchfield Community Primary School from Deeping St James, with Bourne Abbey second and Bourne Westfield third.
Small schools winner was Baston, with Thurlby B second and St Bartholomew’s of West Pinchbeck third.
The aim of the School Games is to promote participation and competition but also to instil the values of teamwork, determination, passion, honesty, self belief and respect.
