Some 250 children from seven primary schools came together at The Deepings School to learn essential skills in keeping safe.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue ran a ‘stay safe’ workshop for Year 6 pupils from the Deepings area, supported by staff and students as part of the school’s transition activities for students joining in the autumn.
The day was organised in conjunction with Lincolnshire Police, Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children’s Board, Deeping First Responders, the RNLI, Network Rail, Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership and The Deepings School.
The multi-agency workshop taught pupils about street first aid, staying safe online, around water and road safety, anti-social behaviour, level crossings and rail tracks.
