Dance delight as youngsters take the stage

Some 199 pupils from 15 schools across the region visited the South Holland Centre in Spalding on Tuesday to show off the dance work they have been practising.

The event, run by School Games organiser Rupert Gibson, is an annual showcase open to all primary and secondary schools in the area.

Rupert said: “The venue offers a wonderful experience for pupils to perform on a big stage with proper lighting and sound, to a large audience.

“Although nervous to start with, all the performances were fantastic and the children came off stage delighted with what they had done.”

Schools involved were: Primaries: Baston, Thurlby, Crowland South View, Shepeau Stow, Weston St Mary, Market Deeping, Bourne Westfield, Langtoft, Sutton Bridge Westmere, Gedney Drove End, Holbeach St Marks, Long Sutton and Deeping St James Linchfield.

Secondaries: Spalding Academy and Baston Kirkstone House.
