Spalding High School Year 8 students have been fundraising for charity as part of the Citizenship curriculum.
The girls research and select their chosen charities and then, alongside their form tutor, plan a wide range of fundraising events.
The events this year have been as varied as ever and the girls have shown a great deal of initiative and commitment.
Collectively the year group raised in excess of £1,900, to be shared between the chosen charities.
Through a variety of activities, including a stall at the Christmas craft fayre, a Valentine’s stall, Easter goodie bags and book stalls, 8J raised a staggering £580 for charity.
Headmistress Michele Anderson praised Year 8, saying: “The girls are very imaginative in their methods of fundraising and should be proud of the difference their donations will make to their chosen charities.”
