Spalding Grammar School's Chloe Barrett named Inspirational Secondary School Teacher of the Year
A truly outstanding teacher who has inspired students and colleagues has been honoured.
Chloe Barrett has been named Inspirational Secondary School Teacher of the Year.
Miss Barrett, of Spalding Grammar School, was nominated by a colleague for her engaging and enjoyable lessons.
The English teacher's nomination also said that she was a great inspiration for her junior colleagues.
Miss Barrett said: "I am very shocked and honoured to receive the award. It is very humbling.
"It does mean a lot as I was nominated by someone who I work very closely with.
"We have worked hard coming back from Covid. Students have needed nurture and enthusiasm."
Miss Barrett said teachers have worked hard to increase pupils confidence and ensuring that they feel supported.
Runners-up were Dr Dawkins, of Spalding Grammar School, who was nominated by students who dubbed her as a 'class teacher'.
While Spalding Academy's Mrs Hemmingway was described as a supportive and aspirational teacher.
The awards were judged by Supt Chris Davison, who unfortunately was not able to attend.
