Spalding High School win fourth award
Spalding High School has been named Secondary School of year on the fourth occasion.
Headmistress Michele Anderson and her team were over the moon to once again receive the award.
The school was up against some strong competition in Spalding Grammar School and Spalding Academy but its achievements shone through.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, which was sponsored by Lightspeed Broadband, Mrs Anderson praised the students and staff.
She said: "This is the fourth win out of seven nominations - I am stunned.
"I am really grateful and very humbled as I thought one of the other schools would take away the trophy.
"I am thrilled to bits and this is a reflection of all the hard work from students and staff along with our wonderful parents and governors."
The progressive and forward thinking school has an outward looking curriculum with a diverse extra- curricular programme which ensures students receive an all round education.
Mrs Anderson said: "I think the school is really special and you get that feel as soon as you walk through the doors."
Spalding Grammar School was nominated for providing an excellent education to ensure that its students develop into well rounded and reflective individuals.
While Spalding Academy is consistently performing over the national average with its students progressing onto much higher aspirational future learning opportunities.
The award was presented by Iliffe Media's Events Manager Sharon Marriott.
