UPDATE: Man who disappeared after accident on A151 near Bourne is safe and well

Jeremy Scrafton has now been found safe and well having returned to his home address, and is currently receiving treatment for minor injuries.

A police spokesman said: "Many thanks to everyone who helped share this appeal and to everyone who helped with this incident."

PREVIOUSLY: Police are extremely concerned for a man who was involved in a collision this morning (Wednesday) and cannot be found.

At 7.20am, officers were called to the A151, near to the vet’s surgery in Grimsthorpe near Bourne, to a report of an overturned car.

The driver of the car – Jeremy Scrafton – was not present at the vehicle when officers attended, and they are asking for help in locating him urgently.

Jeremy is described as a man in his 50s, and was travelling to York. Police say he phoned 999 this morning but the call was abandoned and they have not been able to get in touch with him.

Extensive enquires and searches using a police helicopter have been completed and officers still have not found him.

If anyone has seen him or believes they may know where he is, or saw the incident take place, please contact police immediately, using the 101 number.
