Driver arrested after road crash death

A MOTORIST from the Holbeach area has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The 34-year-old man was arrested following the death of a motorcyclist on the A1121 Boardsides between Wyberton Fen and Hubberts Bridge this morning (Tuesday).

Emergency services were called at about 3.20am to reports of a collision involving two cars and a motorcyclist.

Officers say the 37-year-old woman, who was riding the silver 125cc Yamaha motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. She is believed to be from the Boston area.

A 33-year-old man, believed from the Tattershall area, who was driving a grey Fiat Ulysse, was also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and taken to Boston Police Station.

The man from the Holbeach area had been driving a silver Peugeot 406 estate.

The road remains closed while investigations are carried out.
