Fleet pensioner drove into the back of a stationary car after drinking

A Fleet pensioner has been banned from driving for 16 months after he drove his car into the back of a stationary car waiting to turn right.

Harry Griffiths, 69, of Church End, Fleet admitted driving with excess alcohol when he appeared at Boston Magistrates' Court yesterday (Weds, Nov 21).

Jim Clare, prosecuting, said that police were called to the collision at 3.30pm in Fleet Road on November 2 and found that Griffiths had run into the back of another car while driving his Vauxhall Astra.
