WEATHER: Holbeach received double expected monthly rain in just 48 hours

Holbeach received double the amount of rainfall expected for the whole of June in just 48 hours, the Met Office has revealed.

From 9am Monday to the same time today, 107.2mm fell.

Meanwhile, the Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for later this afternoon, saying spells of heavy and persistent rain have the potential to bring flooding and disruption to transport in places.
