Spalding area residents urged not to put out bin bags too early after rats spotted in the town centre

Residents are being urged not to put out their rubbish days ahead of their bin collection after rats were spotted in the town centre.

Rats have been seen scurrying across the Gore Lane Car Park in Spalding carrying food waste dropped by motorists using the site.

South Holland District Council says there is not an infestation of rats in the car park but is appealing to residents to not put out their waste too early.
