South Holland District Council dog warden Rachel Thompson has found fame as a TV star in the BBC 1 show Animal Saints and Sinners.
Rachel appeared in two episodes, which were broadcast on August 25 and 28, and is already getting recognised by viewers.
She said: ”I have already been stopped in the street by people who saw me.
“I really enjoyed the whole experience.
“The camera crew were very nice and easy to be around so it never felt awkward or pressurised.
“The programme concentrated on my work with stray animals and how I help to find lost pets.
“My friends and family loved it and the producers did too.
“They are keen to make a second series so I may make a TV return.”
Rachel got involved after attending Crufts in March and met staff from the Dog Warden Association, who invited her to take part.
Filming took place in April.
Council bosses are also thrilled by Rachel’s appearance on the small screen.
Coun Malcolm Chandler, portfolio holder for the dog warden service, said: ”The high service level provided by Rachel Thompson has now been recognised nationally.
“The decision to bring the dog warden service in- house has shown to have had a significant benefit for the residents of the district.”
